Say Kaddish for Them

Say Kaddish for Them
by Rabbi Lynnda Targan

This one thing I ask of you.
Say Kaddish for them.
Mothers who thought they were taking their children
to the showers, but went to the zyklon B instead…
Say Kaddish for them.
People who were beaten and shot, hung-up
like a slab of meat for no reason…
For no reason…but that they were Jewish…
Say Kaddish for them.
So many died on the Death Marches–
their skinny, stiff bodies abandoned along the road,
without a kosher burial…
Say Kaddish for them.
Please stand and say Kaddish for them.
Wherever you go, and whenever you can, for as long as you live…
Say Kaddish for them.
Please, say Kaddish for them.
