Ethical Dilemmas
In this course we will examine what it means to live a Jewish ethical life. We will analyze the ethical dilemmas that challenge us and force us to make critical decisions, despite competing values. Using various methodologies, we will attempt to develop consciousness around these issues (i.e, money, speech, sexuality, hospitality, community, environment, tzedakah and social action, etc.), that will help us define our purpose and lead to more satisfying and inspired lives. Text-based, our class will concentrate on spiritual development and personal growth motivated by the Biblical commandment: “Love Your Neighbor as Yourself.” (Leviticus 19:18)
